By far the single biggest project I’ve been a part of.
A month long residency at Make-ready London, one of the best print studio’s in the world.
Allowing to work on the original, capture the steps and immediately test print to check the final result.
Bringing its many unique challenges with such a unique print edition. All executed perfectly and delivered with higher quality than originally scoped.
Capturing the steps
Using a Phase one IQ4 150MP, the highest resolution digital camera commercially available, and strobe lights to illuminate the work consistently we were able to quickly and accurately capture each step in the highest detail in the least amount of time.
Complex “tiling” technic, capturing small parts of the work and stitching them together in post production, would take far too long per image for 1000 steps.
Shooting tethered into the computer allowed me to check instantly if the shot was perfect and if Pejac could continue working on the original.
