By far the single biggest project I’ve ever been a part off.
Documenting the original work from start to finish in a 4 week residency in London.
Capturing the steps to be digitally printed on top of the silkscreen created background.
Extremely close collaboration between the Artist, the print experts at Make Ready, and myself to achieve the end result we wanted.
Constant test prints to test color and editing adjustments and to give direction for the artist.
Lost of challanges, lots of stress and headache but and amazing edition to show for it.
This project demanded we use the best camera commercially available, the Phase One IQ4 150MP
The only camera with a resolution high enough to capture each step efficiently without giving up quality for the final print.
That combined with consistant strobe lighting and being able to see the full resolution files right away on the computer meant a swift and accurate workflow.
